I haven't hardly thought about Hawaii honestly...
My thoughts have been elsewhere, and it has all seemed SO far away. So, it is crazy for me to think that I leave this week! Honestly, I kind of feel guilty to be leaving. Not because I think it is wrong to leave my kids, because I think that can be very healthy for a family every once in a while. I am more feeling guilty because I want to bring everyone I know with me, so they can enjoy the beauty also. I want to bring family, and friends, and even my blog readers.
Alas, all I can do is take pictures and share it with you here.
I told Jon that I wasn't planning on packing for our anniversary. I really meant it when I said that I wanted to just fly to Hawaii, and buy the first Muu-Muu I found, grab a pretty drink with an umbrella in the top, and sit on the beach. I only required a book, sunglasses, and a towel.
Then I tried to go to bed last night, and all I could think about was what I was going to pack. Or not pack. I am very summer slow when it comes to clothes. I am great at putting together outfits for Fall, Winter, or Spring, but there is just something about summer that confuses me. I can't layer, like I like and boots just look kind of odd by the ocean. I do love sandals, but they don't go well with my pea coats. I get all hung up on my white legs that I will need to spray tan, just to look like I haven't just emerged from an igloo in Alaska. So, my frantic unplanned shopping came more from desperation than planning. I had to rush order everything, because I broke my own rule of not packing.
So, for fun, I thought I would show you the outfits I put together. Most of it I have, some of it I have that looks just like it. If you enjoy clothes, I just found a REALLY fun website called Polyvore where you can tag things you love onto a board, and put outfits together. It's kind of like Pinterest, but for outfits! yummy...and so addicting. It's like playing dressup!
Without further delay, here are some of the outfits I plan on taking with me to sit under the palm trees. I plan on dancing in them, and laying in the sun.

I love how much effort your put into your outfits and I think you will look just fabulous on the beach!
Sarah...honestly, I never plan outfits. I wake up and put on whatever I feel like that day. Sometimes it is sweats, other times I never get out of my work out clothes...and if I am going somewhere fun, I usually am better about putting together an outfit. When I go out of town, I love having a few outfits all put together, but mostly I am sure I will hang out in my swimsuit or pj's :)
